Trying to decide what to do after all of these, but yeah. These will all happen weekly, on Fridays. Hopefully you all enjoy reading the articles!
I know I probably shouldn’t be doing this on my personal Tumblr, but I feel it’s necessary.
Due to major scheduling conflicts, the two (yes, only two) writers for the site do get busy. And we miss deadlines. Which causes a drought of content. We are working on fixing this to get back onto a weekly schedule, but we do not want people to abandon the site. That’s why we need more people to write for the site. It is always wonderful to get more viewpoints to bounce off of, too, but this is a dire necessity: we want to give the site’s visitors more to read.
With that be said, are you interested in reviewing anime? Perhaps even manga/manga with anime adaptations? Perhaps visual novels with anime adaptations? Or writing colums on anime? Then follow the link and contact us!
What we will need from you are the following:
- An idea of what you’d want to write about.
- A sample of your writing.
- Commitment to consistent posting frequency.
We would look over your work and then get back to you ASAP about it. If you want your voice to be heard and believe strongly enough in your opinions to put them into writing, there are positions on the Anime Spotlight team waiting for you!
So, I’m going to review a show you personally want me to look at in two weeks. I’m compiling answers from here and Twitter, and depending on what I get, I’ll literally be drawing the winner from a hat. The requests need to be done by 5:00 PM GMT-5 (EST, for those in the USA).

This week, Pete prepares a fortress against annoying fanboys of a show that is honestly atrocious.
This week, Pete watches a show with a goth loli detective (spoiler alert: this time the loli ISN’T annoying!).
This week, Pete has dishonored himself and his family. No matter how much he may scrub himself, he will never be clean.
In short, he found his berserk button.
This week, Pete rants about pantyshots and bad writing. What else is new?
This week, Pete is a week late and now done with slice-of-life for awhile.
This week: Pete finds out he posts the 100th article on the site, gets a new rating system, starts uploading supplementary materials to his own Youtube channel, and learns just how much ripping images from Crunchyroll sucks.
Second Anime Spotlight in a week! Now, I think I’ve had enough dramas for awhile. Attempting to decide on my next show.
